Showing you the right regional site

We run two versions of this website: techgenixit.co.uk for visitors in the UK and techgenixit.com for everyone else. To send you to the right one, our server checks which country your IP address belongs to using a database stored on our own server. Your IP address is not sent to anyone else and is not stored for this purpose. The result (UK or international) is remembered on your device for 7 days, and you can change region at any time using the switch at the bottom of every page. IP geolocation by DB-IP.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting provider (Hostinger), our email provider and, if you contact us that way, WhatsApp. They may only use it to provide their services to us. Where any of them process data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client project records: for the length of the project plus 6 years, for legal and tax reasons.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Security logs: for a limited period set by our hosting and security providers.

Your data rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it;
  • receive a copy of it in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email contact@techgenixit.com. We’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
